Are There Dog Treats Inspired by Mexican Culture or Nostalgia?

Yes! and we make them. At Owa Owa, we believe our dogs deserve to be part of the culture, memories, and love we grew up with. That’s why our treat collections are deeply inspired by Mexican flavors, panadería or pawnaderia classics, and the nostalgia of our childhoods.

Founded by a Mexican-American dog mom and certified canine nutritionist, Owa Owa blends real nutrition with cultural storytelling; creating treats that not only taste amazing to your dog, but mean something to you.

Our Most Popular Nostalgic Treats

  • Meatzapawn – A soft, crumbly treat inspired by mazapán. Made with turkey and goat milk yogurt. Customers say it crumbles like the real thing!
  • Pup Noodles™ – The first all-meat dog ramen. Inspired by childhood instant noodles, but made with real meat, bone broth, and veggies.
  • Fluffin Hot Cheewtos – Lamb, beets, and bell peppers shaped like Hot Cheetos (but totally pup-safe, of course)
  • Conchitas – Mini treats that resemble the iconic pan dulce, made with turkey and goat milk yogurt
  • Puerquitos – A pork and pumpkin treat shaped like the classic marranito pan dulce
  • Frijolitos – Inspired by a side of beans, these are made with beef and antioxidant-rich blueberries
