FOR THE DOG WHO KEEPS PEEING IN THAT ONE SPOT 😭

NOPEE Dog Marking Deterrent

A simple, long-lasting dog marking deterrent designed to discourage dogs from returning to the same spot to pee...without spraying something every single day.

Okay, I found this because I needed it too.

If you have a dog who marks inside the house, you already know the struggle.

You clean the spot. You deodorize it. You think you've finally won...

and then somebody goes right back and pees there again. 🫠

This is literally a problem I've been trying to solve with my own dogs, so when I discovered NOPEE at SuperZoo, I immediately wanted to know how it worked.

They showed me NOPEE being placed on a tree that neighborhood dogs regularly marked. After the bag was placed there, the dogs shown in the demonstration stopped marking that spot.

That caught my attention because instead of constantly spraying and re-spraying an area, you place one little bag where the marking keeps happening and leave it there.

So... what exactly is NOPEE?

NOPEE is a dog urine-marking deterrent designed to discourage dogs from re-marking a previously cleaned area.

Instead of applying a deterrent spray over and over, NOPEE comes in a small bag that stays near the problem spot.

According to the manufacturer, each bag protects approximately a 3-foot area and can remain effective for up to 6 months.

How to use it

1. Clean the marking spot.
Start by thoroughly cleaning the area your dog has been marking.
2. Remove the NOPEE bag from the pouch.
Don't open the little inner bag itself.
3. Let your dog smell it away from the problem area.
The manufacturer's directions recommend allowing your dog to smell the bag first.
4. Place it on the cleaned spot.
Put the bag directly on or near the area you want to discourage your dog from marking.
5. Leave it there.
That's it. No daily spraying or constant reapplication.

Why I like this idea better than another spray

The thing that immediately made sense to me was the “place it and leave it” design.

🏠 Designed for repeat marking spots
Use it where your dog keeps returning to pee.
Up to 6 months
No remembering to reapply a spray every day.
📍 Approximately 3 feet of coverage
One bag is designed to protect the surrounding target area.
👃 Helps with lingering odor, too
The manufacturer's layered system combines a deodorizing component with fragrance.

What's inside?

The manufacturer lists the ingredients as:

Sodium bicarbonate • Hydrated silica • Fragrances

NOPEE is labeled by the manufacturer as safe for pets and children when used as directed. Keep the inner bag intact and follow the package directions.

This might be for you if...

  • Your dog keeps marking the same spot
  • You have multiple dogs
  • You've cleaned the area and they STILL go back
  • You're tired of constantly reapplying deterrent sprays
  • You're working on breaking an indoor marking habit

Probably not for...

  • People who enjoy cleaning pee every day
  • Dogs who have never marked anything in their lives (must be nice 😂)
  • Replacing potty training or addressing a sudden change in bathroom habits

One important thing

NOPEE is intended to help discourage repeat urine marking. It isn't a replacement for potty training.

And if a previously house-trained dog suddenly starts urinating indoors, peeing much more often, straining, or showing other unusual bathroom behavior, don't assume it's behavioral. Talk with your veterinarian to rule out an underlying health issue.

Why is this on Owa Owa?

Because I don't want to add random pet products just to have more things to sell. If I bring something into the shop that we didn't make ourselves, I want it to solve a problem I actually understand as a pet parent. I found NOPEE at SuperZoo while looking for a solution to a problem I have in my own house...and it was interesting enough that I wanted to bring it home to the Owa Owa community.

PEE THERE? NOPE. ✋

For the pet parents who are very, very tired of asking, “WHO PEED HERE?!”
